If approved, 3 the liquor license would be in effect from July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013. 4 5 Mayor Flaherty continued the public hearing. 6 7 Jeff Moritko, owner of Moe’s, requested clarification on how many ceiling tiles were in need of 8 replacement. He stated he would make the necessary improvements after Staff provided this 9 clarification. Mr. Moritko thanked the Council for their support over the last several years and 10 then discussed a list of events planned at his establishment. He noted a Rick Criittendon, Sr. 11 Memorial Ride, would be ending their ride at Moe’s on Saturday, June 16th. 12 13 Hearing no further public input, Mayor Flaherty closed the public hearing at 7:09 p.m. 14 15 MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Hull. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 7938, 16 Consider Approval of an On Sale Intoxicating Liquor License for Moe’s located at 2400 County 17 Highway 10 contingent upon the receipt of a satisfactory criminal background check and fire 18 report. 19 20 Mayor Flaherty was pleased with the fact the Memorial Ride would be hosted by Moe’s. 21 22 Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 23 24 B. Continued Public Hearing, Resolution 7940, Consider Approval of an On 25 Sale Intoxicating Liquor License for El Loro located at 2535 County 26 Highway 10. 27 28 Assistant City Administrator Crane stated this was a continued public hearing from the May 14th 29 Council meeting for El Loro’s on sale intoxicating liquor license. Proper notice was sent out by 30 the City to surrounding properties within 300 feet of El Loro’s and was published in the City’s 31 official newspaper. She indicated property taxes were current, along with all City utilities and 32 the Mounds View Police and Fire Department issued a satisfactory report. The City received a 33 satisfactory criminal background check from the Minnesota Bureau of Apprehension. Staff 34 recommended approval of the on sale intoxicating liquor license. If approved, the liquor license 35 would be in effect from July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013. 36 37 Mayor Flaherty continued the public hearing. 38 39 Hearing no public input, Mayor Flaherty closed the public hearing at 7:12 p.m. 40 41 MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Gunn.
