Continued Public Hearing, Resolution 7941, Consider Approval of an Off 3 <br />Sale Intoxicating Liquor License for ABC Liquor located at 2840 County 4 <br />Highway 10. 5 <br /> 6 <br />Assistant City Administrator Crane stated this was a continued public hearing from the May 14th 7 <br />Council meeting for ABC Liquor’s off sale intoxicating liquor license. Proper notice was sent 8 <br />out by the City to surrounding properties within 300 feet of ABC Liquor’s and was published in 9 <br />the City’s official newspaper. She indicated property taxes were current, along with all City 10 <br />utilities and the Mounds View Police and Fire Department issued a satisfactory report. The City 11 <br />had not yet received the criminal background check from the Minnesota Bureau of 12 <br />Apprehension. Staff recommended approval of the off sale intoxicating liquor license pending 13 <br />receipt of a satisfactory criminal background check. If approved, the liquor license would be in 14 <br />effect from July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013. 15 <br /> 16 <br />Mayor Flaherty continued the public hearing. 17 <br /> 18 <br />Hearing no public input, Mayor Flaherty closed the public hearing at 7:14 p.m. 19 <br /> 20 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Mueller. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 7941, 21 <br />Consider Approval of an Off Sale Intoxicating Liquor License for ABC Liquor located at 2840 22 <br />County Highway 10 contingent upon the receipt of a satisfactory criminal background check. 23 <br /> 24 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 25 <br /> 26 <br />D. Resolution 7956, Authorizing Severance Payment to Kathi Osmonson, 27 <br />Building Official/Fire Marshal. 28 <br /> 29 <br />Assistant City Administrator Crane stated that effective May 4, 2012, Kathi Osmonson resigned 30 <br />her position as Building Official/Fire Marshal with the City of Mounds View. According to the 31 <br />City’s personnel manual, Ms. Osmonson is authorized a sick time pay out into her retirement 32 <br />plan in the amount of $857.57. In addition, vacation time was also to be paid out for a total of 33 <br />$709.68. Staff recommended the Council authorize the severance payment to Ms. Osmonson. 34 <br /> 35 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Hull. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 7956, 36 <br />Authorizing Severance Payment to Kathi Osmonson, Building Official/Fire Marshal. 37 <br /> 38 <br />Council Member Mueller thanked Kathi Osmonson for the outstanding work completed on 39 <br />behalf of the City of Mounds View. She wished her continued success in the future. 40 <br /> 41 <br />Mayor Flaherty agreed stating Ms. Osmonson was an outstanding employee for the City for many 42 <br />years. He indicated the City’s loss would be the State’s gain. 43 <br /> 44 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 45
