Mounds View City Council May 29, 2012 <br />Regular Meeting Page 6 <br /> <br />In order to complete these tasks, the Public Works Department uses an air compressor. 1 <br />Currently, the City’s air compressor was purchased used in 1980 and as it has aged, parts were 2 <br />becoming more difficult to find. A quote was received from the State of Minnesota Cooperative 3 <br />Purchasing Venture for a 185 JDU air compressor for $16,230.04 minus the $3,000 trade in value 4 <br />of the City’s current unit. The total cost to the City would be $13,730.04. Staff recommended a 5 <br />5% contingency of $686.50 and that the Council approve the purchase of a new air compressor. 6 <br /> 7 <br />Mayor Flaherty was pleased the original unit had lasted the City 30 years. 8 <br /> 9 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Hull. April 9, 2012, City Council Meeting Minutes. 36 <br /> 37 <br />Council Member Mueller requested a correction on Page 4, Line 18 requesting the word “only” 38 <br />be added after the word “not”. 39 <br /> 40 <br />Council Member Mueller requested a correction on Page 9, Line 26 requesting the Mounds View 41 <br />Business Counsel be spelled correctly. 42 <br /> 43 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Hull.
