RESOLUTION 7973 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AUTHORIZING ENVIROBATE TO PERFORM HVAC DECONTAMINATION AND <br />CLEANING AT THE COMMUNITY CENTER <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the HVAC systems at the Mounds View Community Center were <br />recently found to require cleaning maintenance and decontamination; and <br />WHEREAS, the Community Center is open to the general public and hosts a <br />daycare, recreational programs, and meeting areas; and <br />WHEREAS, City staff has consulted with Envirobate in determining a work scope to <br />clean and decontaminate the HVAC systems, which Envirobate has provided detailed costs <br />to perform the work; and <br />WHEREAS, it is imperative that cleaning and decontamination of the HVAC systems <br />be performed in the very near future to continue to provide a safe and healthy indoor air <br />quality environment for the public. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br />View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />1. The cost proposal submitted by Envirobate to perform cleaning and decontamination of <br />the Community Center HVAC systems is hereby accepted by the City. Compensation <br />will be on a time and material basis with a maximum fee not to exceed $34,830. <br />2. Envirobate is further authorized to remove ceiling tiles and clean/decontaminate the <br />ceiling support grid in the event center and surrounding hallways for an amount not to <br />exceed $1,780. <br />3. Acoustical Concepts, Inc. is authorized to furnish and install ceiling tiles in the event <br />center for $7,335 and surrounding hallways for $4,540. <br />4. The Director of Public Works is authorized to execute and enter into said agreements, <br />for and on behalf of the City, with Envirobate and Acoustical Concepts, Inc. for said <br />services. <br />5.
