June 25, 2012, City Council Meeting Minutes. 13 <br /> 14 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Mueller. To Approve the June 25, 2012, City Council meeting 15 <br />minutes as presented. 16 <br /> 17 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 18 <br /> 19 <br />11. REPORTS 20 <br />A. Reports of Mayor and Council. 21 <br /> 22 <br />Council Member Mueller stated on August 18, 2012 the City would be holding Festival in the 23 <br />Park. Volunteers were still needed to assist with the event and a planning meeting was scheduled 24 <br />at 7:00 p.m. on July 31st. She encouraged all those interested to contact City Hall for further 25 <br />information. 26 <br /> 27 <br />Mayor Flaherty commented he and Community Development Specialist Heidi Steinmetz had 28 <br />recently visited with local business, FedTech on Mustang Drive. He spoke with President Dave 29 <br />Fox and was impressed by this business and its contributions to the community. 30 <br /> 31 <br />Mayor Flaherty noted there would be a 5K Fun Run, sponsored by Anytime Fitness on the day of 32 <br />the Festival in the Park. He encouraged all to take part in this event at 8:00 a.m. at Silverview 33 <br />Park. 34 <br /> 35 <br /> B. Reports of Staff. 36 <br /> 37 <br />City Administrator Ericson reminded the Council that an Open House would be held with 38 <br />property owners along County Road 10 regarding the proposed name change. He stated all 39 <br />business and property owners in the City are invited as well. The post office was contacted 40 <br />regarding a potential name change and the new name would be recognized along with County 41 <br />Road 10. A joint powers agreement was being discussed between the three communities to 42 <br />address resigning the corridor. He welcomed the Council to attend the Open House. 43 <br /> 44
