Officer Greggory Newmann accepted a police officer position with the City of Apple Valley. Attached is Resolution 8034, which authorizes severance to Officer Neumann in accordance with the LELS Local 204 Labor Agreement. Discussion Resolution 8034 provides a payout of Officer Neumann’s accrued/unused sick time. In accordance with Article 23.2 of the LELS Local 204 Labor Agreement, Officer Neumann is authorized a sick time payout totaling $1,025.42 to his Retirement Health Savings Plan. This is calculated as 70.50 accrued/unused sick hours times 50% times his hourly rate of $29.09. Resolution 8034 provides a payout of Officer Neumann’s accrued/unused vacation time. In accordance with Article 23.1, Officer Neumann is authorized a vacation time payout totaling $4,839.99. This is calculated as 166.38 accrued/unused vacation hours times his hourly rate of $29.09. Resolution 8034 provides a payout of Officer Neumann’s compensatory time. In accordance with Article 23.1, Officer Neumann is authorized a compensatory time payout totaling $210.90. This is calculated as 7.25 unused compensatory time hours times his hourly rate of $29.09. Recommendation Staff recommends approving Resolution 8034 in accordance with the Articles 23.1 and 23.2 of the LELS Local 204 Labor Agreement.
