JUST AND CORRECT CLAIMS 8 <br /> 9 <br />Finance Director Beer answered the Council's questions related to claims. 10 <br /> 11 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Stigney. To Approve the Just and Correct Claims as presented. 12 <br /> 13 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 14 <br /> 15 <br />10. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 16 <br /> 17 <br />None. 18 <br /> 19 <br />11. REPORTS 20 <br />A. Reports of Mayor and Council. 21 <br /> 22 <br />Council Member Gunn reported she attended a meeting with the school district regarding District 23 <br />Enhancement. She explained there was a mix of people and organizations in attendance. The 24 <br />goal was to discuss how to benefit the youth in the community as needs were on the rise. The 25 <br />committee was also looking to address the increasing diversity in our schools. Council Member 26 <br />Gunn indicated additional meetings were scheduled to work through the issues and she would 27 <br />report back to the Council with additional information. 28 <br /> 29 <br />Council Member Mueller stated the interaction with people in our community greatly affected 30 <br />the personality of the City. She encouraged residents to consider volunteering within the City of 31 <br />Mounds View. The Festival in the Park Committee was still seeking volunteers to assist with the 32 <br />2011 event. She reviewed the positions available and encouraged all interested to be in contact 33 <br />with her for further information. 34 <br /> 35 <br />Council Member Mueller explained that recently Western Bank received awards based on the 36 <br />great service and staffing provided at this bank. 37 <br /> 38 <br />Mayor Flaherty stated all those interested in receiving additional information on the City of 39 <br />Mounds View could check the City’s website to view recent information and happenings. 40 <br /> 41 <br /> B. Reports of Staff. 42 <br /> 43 <br />City Administrator Ericson stated last week staff completed data practices training with Kennedy 44 <br />& Graven. He then reviewed the work session agenda. 45
