<br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 7750 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />APPROVING THE HIRING OF NATHAN GARLAND TO THE <br /> POSITION OF POLICE OFFICER <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has approved the hiring of a Police Officer for a current <br />vacancy in the Police Department, and the Police Civil Service Commission has approved <br />the procedures for establishing an eligibility register to fill this vacancy, and; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the approved hiring procedures consist of a competitive written <br />examination, resume scoring, oral interviews, background investigations, physical <br />examination, psychological examination, and physical agility testing, and; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Civil Service Commission has certified the eligibility list for the <br />opening, and Nathan Garland is the top candidate standing on the eligibility register, and <br />his background investigation, physical, psychological, and physical agility testing have all <br />been successfully completed, and; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, staff of the Police Department has met with Mr. Garland, and the Chief <br />of Police recommends he be appointed to the position of Police Officer. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Mounds <br />View, Ramsey County, Minnesota does hereby appoint Nathan Garland to the position of <br />Police Officer effective March 2, 2011 at the step one rate of pay ($20.70/hr) as indicated <br />in the Law Enforcement Labor Services contract for the position. <br /> <br /> <br />Adopted this 28th day of February 2011. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ____________________________________ <br /> Joe Flaherty, Mayor <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: ____________________________________ <br /> Jim Ericson, City Administrator <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />(seal) <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
