She had suggested the property owner be present to
speak to the Council this evening but the property owner declined stating he was unable to pay
his property taxes at this time. She explained that the Council could deny the renewal or
continue the public hearing to the June 13th meeting requesting that the property owner be present
to plead his case.

Mayor Flaherty opened the public hearing at 7:35 p.m.

Council Member Mueller questioned if the owner had a payment plan in place. Assistant City
Administrator Crane indicated the property owner did not have a repayment plan in place. The
property owner expressed concern with similar businesses opening as this has strained his
business.

Council Member Mueller asked if an extension on this renewal would assist the property owner.
Assistant City Administrator Crane did not feel this would assist the establishment.

MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Stigney.
