Sick Leave Advance <br /> Upon making written application to the Clerk-Administrator, employees that accrue sick time <br /> may request advanced sick leave under the following conditions: <br /> • Employees with less than one year of service shall not be eligible. <br /> • Employees shall have exhausted all sick leave and vacation time in excess of 5 days <br /> available to them before receiving an advance of sick leave. <br /> • Eligible employees may receive advances of sick leave not to exceed fifteen working <br /> days. <br /> • Whenever employees, as determined by the City Administrator, an employee who <br /> receives an advance of sick leave shall maintain an accrual of unused vasati of icav <br /> equivalent to the outstanding balance of the advance. <br /> • Any employee who received an advance of sick leave shall repay that advance with sick <br /> leave the employee accrues for each month service. <br /> • Any employee,whose employment with the City terminates prior to full repayment of the <br /> sick leave advance, shall repay said advance from his/her regular earnings. New Year's Day <br /> 2. Martin Luther King's Birthday (3rd Monday in January) <br /> 3. President's Day <br /> 4. Good Friday <br /> 5. Memorial Day <br /> 6. Independence Day <br /> 7. Labor Day <br /> 8. Veteran's Day <br /> 9. Thanksgiving Day <br /> 10. Day after Thanksgiving <br /> 11. Christmas Day <br /> 12. 4 hours Christmas Eve Day and New Years Eve Day in years where either Christmas Eve <br /> or New Year's Eve falls on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. <br /> If Christmas Day,New Year's Day, Independence Day or Veteran's Day falls on a Saturday,the <br /> preceding Friday will be considered a Holiday.
