• • whether improvements would be needed on County Road H2 and who would pay for them • whether parking would be adequate; where would overflow parking go • possible negative effect of increased traffic on children's safety, since there are no sidewalks in neighborhood • anticipated increase in crime, trash and noise in neighborhood • whether the project cause an increase in police and fire services, and how much this would cost? • effect on property taxes and property values; concern that property taxes would go up and • property values down • feeling that there were already enough movie theaters in area • concern that the theaters would fail and leave an empty building • concern that the development would cause other commercial business to be developed in the neighborhood • concern about the type of employees and customers which would be attracted by the development • feeling that the location was not suitable; too close to a residential neighborhood The points noted in favor of the project were that it would provide jobs, and entertainment and employment for young people in the community, perhaps within walking distance to their homes. It would add to the City's tax base and may result in property taxes going down, since the City would receive more revenue. There was a request for more information on the costs and benefits of the project. Notices will be sent to property owners within 350 feet of the project site, and to anyone who has either signed in at a meeting or added their name to the interest list, when meetings before the Planning Commission and City Council are scheduled.
