AirsoMEMORANDUM <br /> 0 ST.PAUL,MN 12 MINNEAPOLIS.MN ❑ ST.CLOUD,MN ❑ CHIPPEWA FALLS, WI 0 MADISON, WI <br /> TO: Jim Ericson, Planning Associate <br /> FROM: Wayne Jacobson, Soil Scientist .9?' <br /> DATE: May 16, 1997 <br /> SUBJECT: Soil Pit Investigation Results, Silver Lake Road and Highway 10 <br /> On May 13, 1997 a soil pit investigation was performed iii the southeast corner of Highway 10 <br /> and Silver Lake Road in Township 30 North, Range 23 West, and the SW 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of <br /> Section 6 in the City of Mounds View. <br /> The purpose of the investigation was to determine the general location of the ground water table. <br /> The Washington and Ramsey Counties Soil Survey maps the on site soil as Urban Land-Lino <br /> Complex. This was the soil encountered on the site. <br /> Two pits were dug, B1 and B2 as shown on the attached map. The subsurface soil profile of the <br /> two pits were as follows: <br /> Soil Pit B1 <br /> Depth Soil Symbol Soil Description <br /> 0-1' SM Sandy Loam, fine to medium grained, dark brown, dry <br /> 1-11' SP Sand, medium grained, reddish brown, dry <br /> 11-13' SP Sand, medium grained, gray, moist.
