Kessel, Finance Director <br /> Item Title/Subject: Update on costs associated with Airport issues. <br /> Date of Report: May 21, 1997 <br /> Over the last several months, the City has had Bob Long involved with issues associated with the <br /> airport and recently with possible legislation relating to airport issues. The legislation initiative <br /> is outside the scope of our retainer for legal services and as such, is billed at$115.00 per hour. <br /> For the month of April the charges for this service was $5,730.73 and it is anticipated that the bill <br /> for May will be comparable. The 1997 budget did not contemplate such services and as such, no <br /> amount was included in the budget,however, $50,000 was budgeted in the general fund <br /> contingency. When we have a final dollar amount, we will be requesting a budget modification <br /> to cover this expenditure. <br /> • <br /> • <br />
