Ms.Bennett stated WAI <br /> 2 would be willing to set it up any way that council desires. She would be willing to provide the council with a <br /> 3 breakdown of time spent,etc. <br /> 4 <br /> 5 Mr.Whiting noted one correction to Resolution No.5141. Paragraph 6 should be changed to read,". . <br /> 6 Continuum Project Management Group for the Community Center Project and authorizes the Mayor and the <br /> 7 City Administrator to execute the Agreement;and". <br /> 8 VOTE: 4 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> 9 <br /> 10 MOTION/SECOND: Trude/Stigney to Approve Resolution No.5141,Approving Project Management <br /> 11 Services Agreement with WAI Continuum for the Development of the Community Center,AS AMENDED. <br /> 12 <br /> 13 VOTE: 4 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> 14 <br /> 15 G. Consideration of Approval for the Purchase of Cable TV Equipment to Upgrade the System. <br /> 16 <br /> 17 Mary Saarion,Director of Parks and Recreation,explained that the Cable Committee has discussed this item <br /> 18 over a number of meetings and put together a list of equipment to upgrade and improve the cable TV <br /> 19 production and technical audio system. More than sufficient funds are available in the Cable fund to pay for <br /> 20 these improvements. • <br /> 21 <br /> 22 Patrick Toth,Cable TV Producer and Technician provided the Council with a list of equipment for use in <br /> 23 televising the Council work sessions and upgrade the present system. He noted that he would like to add to <br /> 24 the list Zoom and Focus Controls for the Studio Camera and a View Finder for a cost of$1,700.00. The total <br /> 25 cost for the equipment will range between$6,500 and$6,800.00. <br /> 26 <br /> 27 Council member Stigney stated he believes that Stage 1 Supply could provide the Panasonic 456 S-VHS <br /> 28 Camcorder for a lesser cost. Mr.Toth stated he would check on the price,and if so,he would purchase it <br /> 29 through them. <br /> 30 <br /> 31 MOTION/SECOND: Trude/Stigney to Amend the 1997 Budget by transferring$8,000 from the Cable <br /> 32 Franchise Fee Account to the proper account to purchase equipment to purchase communication equipment in <br /> 33 the city. <br /> 34 <br /> 35 VOTE: 4 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> 36 <br /> 37 H. Consideration of Approval for the Purchase of Playground Equipment to Upgrade Old Equipment <br /> 38 for Compliance to Safety Standards and the Addition of Replacement Equipment for Groveland Park <br /> 39 as Per the Equipment Replacement Plan and as Budgeted for 1997 Park Improvement. <br /> 40 <br /> 41 Ms. Saarion explained that Groveland Park playground equipment is slated for replacement this summer,as <br /> 42 per the Park Facility Replacement Plan and 1997 budget. The Parks&Recreation Commissioners have <br /> 43 discussed ways to make the$20,000 go as far as possible,including salvaging some of the existing playground <br /> 44 equipment and upgrading it to comply with safety standards and match the new equipment. Additionally some <br /> 45 of the equipment will be removed and replaced. Ms.Saarion noted that MN Playground,Inc.provided a <br /> 46 proposal in the amount of$20,000,and the Park&Recreation Commission and staff recommend that the • <br /> 47 Council approve this proposal. <br /> 48 <br />
