Mr. Chuck Whiting -2 - July 7, 1997 <br /> S . <br /> Discussion: This task will provide the opportunity to initiate discussions between SRF <br /> and City staff on specific needs and goals of the transition period and will include <br /> identifying dates for any contemplated meetings with the City Council, Planning <br /> Commission and reviewing agencies. <br /> Client Responsibility: City staff will work with the consultant to review project details <br /> and schedules, to clarify meeting calendars, deadlines and responsibilities. <br /> Task 2 - Provision of Professional Planning and Community Development Services <br /> Objective: To provide professional planning and community development assistance to <br /> the City' Community Development Department in maintaining continuity and <br /> momentum in community development and redevelopment projects currently underway <br /> within the City. <br /> Discussion: This task encompasses all of the specific duties that may be required to <br /> assist the current Community Development Director in maintaining development and <br /> redevelopment project schedules during the balance of the Director's tenure with the City <br /> • and to serve as the City's temporary Community Development Director subsequent to the <br /> departure of the current Director on or about July 31. Assumption of the Director's duties <br /> that relate to maintaining schedules of specific redevelopment or development projects <br /> may continue until such time as a full-time, permanent Community Director is on staff <br /> and a successful transition has been completed. <br /> Client Responsibility: City staff will coordinate any meetings of the Planning <br /> Commission and/or City Council that are necessary for the review and/or approval of any <br /> project. City staff will coordinate any meetings with outside agencies for the purposes of <br /> project review and progress reports. It is assumed that City Hall facilities will be <br /> available for such meetings. <br /> BASIS OF PAYMENT <br /> We would propose to be reimbursed for the services of Patrick A. Peters, Senior Planner, <br /> on a retainer basis, to be paid at an hourly rate of$85.00 for the actual time expended. at <br /> actual cost for the out-of-pocket expenses (printing, reproduction) and for mikc.,6c, <br /> exceed the IRS approved rate (currently $0.31 per mile). Invoices would be submitted on <br /> a monthly basis for work performed during the previous month with payment due within <br /> 30 days. <br /> S <br />
