EXHIBIT 'B' <br /> MINIMUM MAINTENANCE STANDARDS <br /> 1. Greens, Practice Putting Green and Nursery <br /> The objective of the Minimum Maintenance Standards is to develop on <br /> all putting greens, a fine bent grass turf of like texture and <br /> density with a minimum of thatch and grain; to maintain a trueness <br /> of surface with a medium fast to fast speed for putting; to develop <br /> a basic agronomic soundness for all greens and to present greens to <br /> the golfing public that are of a comparative quality to the better <br /> public golf courses in the Twin Cities Metropolitan Area. <br /> A. Mowing - At a height of 3/16" - 5/16" . Daily during the months <br /> of May through September and as needed during other months of <br /> ipperation. <br /> B. Daily change of cup locations on all greens and practice putting <br /> green during the months of May through September and at least <br /> three times weekly during other months of operation. Cup <br /> location will be moved at least ten feet from the previous <br />• placement . <br /> C. Daily repair of ballmarks, divots, or any other damaged turf on <br /> all greens and practice green. <br /> D. Aerify all greens, practice putting green and nursery at least 010 <br /> twice per year during the growing season or more if necessary. <br /> E. Topdress all greens, practice putting green and nursery after <br /> aerification and additionally, as needed to maintain a smooth <br /> putting surface. Topdressing shall be sand or a mix of sand and <br /> peat as approved by the COUNTY. '' <br /> F. Light vertical mowing of all greens, practice putting green and <br /> nursery shall be performed as necessary to. produce smooth and <br /> true putting surfaces . Heavy dethatching shall be performed <br /> only with prior approval of the COUNTY: -G. Spiking of all greens and practice greens shall be performed as <br /> needed between aerifications to maintain water infiltration and <br /> reduce compaction. <br /> H. Fertilization- All greens, practice green, and nursery shall <br /> receive proper fertilization applications to promote growth and <br /> to prevent pests and disease. <br /> I . Fungicide - All greens, practice green and nursery shall receive <br /> fungicide applications to prevent and control pests and disease . <br /> J. Weed Control - All greens, practice green and nursery shall be <br /> maintained free of undesirable grasses and weeds. 411 <br /> -1- <br />
