K. Insecticides - All greens, practice green and nursery shall be <br /> treated as necessary to prevent or halt insect damage. <br /> L. Sodding - An area larger than three (3) square feet which <br /> contains less than 25% quality turf shall be resodded with a sod <br /> consistent with the type and quality of grass in the immediate <br /> surrounding area. Tees - All Areas Used for Tee Surface <br /> Th44objective is to produce a teeing area of adequate size with a <br /> level and firm surface suitable to the golfers . <br /> A. Mowing - All tees shall be mowed at a height of 3/8" - 3/4" a <br /> minimum of three times per week. <br /> B. Aerification - All tees shall be aerified at least once per <br /> season or more if necessary. <br /> C. Topdressing - All worn areas on tee shall be topdressed at <br /> 411 least weekly to fill divots and level tee surface. Topdressing <br /> material shall contain seed of annual or perennial ryegrasses, <br /> Kentucky bluegrass or other types as approved by the COUNTY. <br /> D. Vertical Mowing - All tees shall be vertically mowed at least <br /> once per year and as necessary to control mat, thatch build-up <br /> or uneven growth. <br /> E . Weed Control - Tees shall be kept weed free to an extent of at <br /> least 90% of the area by the proper and timely application of <br /> pre- and post-emergent herbicides . <br /> F. Fertilization - All tees shall be fertilized with nitrogen, <br /> phosphorous, potash, and other elements as needed to maintain <br /> color, growth and health of the turf, without allowing excessive <br /> or excessively succulent growth. <br /> G. Set-up - Tee markers and all tee equipment shall be moved daily <br /> for proper teeing and control of turf wear.
