RESOLUTION NO. 5150 • <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING THE LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF <br /> MOUNDS VIEW AND INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 621 AND AUTHORIZING <br /> THE MAYOR AND CLERK-ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE THE LEASE ON BEHALF <br /> OF THE CITY <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council("Council") of the City of Mounds View("City") has • <br /> previously authorized City staff to enter into negotiations with the Independent School District <br /> No. 621 ("School District")to develop the terms of a lease ("Lease") under which School <br /> District would lease space from the City in a certain portion of the City's newly developed <br /> Mounds View Community Center("Leased Premises"); and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Clerk-Administrator has been negotiating with School District over <br /> the past several months regarding the terms of the Lease; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City and School District have reached an agreement regarding the terms <br /> of the Lease which call for School District to lease the Leased Premises from the City for <br /> renewable five year terms at a base rent of approximately$51,000 per year being paid to the City ill <br /> with inflation adjustments each year; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Council has reviewed the terms of the proposed Lease as recommended <br /> by the City Clerk-Administrator. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council hereby approved the terms of <br /> the proposed Lease between the City and School District; and <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council hereby authorizes the Mayor and City <br /> Clerk-Administrator to execute the Lease with School District on behalf of the City. <br /> Adopted by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, Minnesota this 25th day of August, <br /> 1997. <br /> Duane McCarty, Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> • <br /> Charles S.
