10. Day after Thanksgiving <br /> • <br /> 11. Christmas Day <br /> 12. 4 hours Christmas Eve Day and New Year's Eve Day in years where Christmas Eve and <br /> New Year's Eve falls on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. <br /> If Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Independence Day or Veteran's Day falls on a Saturday, the <br /> preceding Friday will be considered a Holiday. If Christmas Day, New Year's Day, <br /> Independence Day, or Veteran's Day fall on a Sunday, the following Monday will be considered <br /> a holiday. <br /> Employees shall receive eight hours straight time pay unless otherwise established by a <br /> bargaining agreement. Regular part-time employees shall receive pro-rated holiday pay. <br /> Working on a Holiday <br /> In the case where a non-exempt employee works on a designated legal holiday, which has <br /> been approved by their respective Department Head, the employee shall receive eight hours <br /> straight time or eight hours compensatory time off as compensation for the holiday and shall <br /> receive one and one half(1 '/ ) time the employee's normal straight pay for hours worked, <br /> unless they are receiving call out pay. Exempt employees, who have received prior approval, <br /> who work on one of the holidays listed above shall receive eight hours straight time pay for the <br /> holiday and shall receive the employees normal straight time pay for those hours worked. <br /> Absences and Holiday Pay <br /> Holidays which occur during vacation leave or sick leave shall not be charged against said <br /> vacation or sick leave but shall be charged against holiday pay.
