Olsen <br /> WAUContinuum <br /> DATE: November 21, 1997 <br /> RE: Mounds View Community Center <br /> Phase 2 <br /> #90634 <br /> Fax Transmittal <br /> As a follow-up to our phone conversation on Tuesday,November 18, 1997 with respect to <br /> Phase 2 at the above referenced facility the following should be noted: <br /> - The existing roof at the facility is leaking and it was decided to replace the roof in conjunction • <br /> with the Phase 2 construction. The construction probable cost estimate for Phase 2 does not <br /> include a price for the reroofing of the existing facility. Please advise as to whether this will be <br /> an additional cost to the project, or if the cost is to come out of the budget for Phase 2, thus <br /> reducing the actual Phase 2 construction cost. Estimated roof cost is approximately <br /> S105,000.00. <br /> - A request by the Public Works department for a heated sidewalk has been discussed. The <br /> approximate cost would be S10-12 a square foot for an electrical system, to S25 a square foot <br /> for a hydronic system. The electrical system is not recommended. Estimated cost for the <br /> walkway at the main entry only is approximately $25,000.00. <br /> - Per the project management cost spreadsheets the equipment for the gym is to be provided by <br /> the City (i.e. bleachers, basketball backboards, etc.).
