MONITORING PLAN •
• Value monitoring of the wetland and annual reports will be prepared every year for five
years with the goal being to ensure that the wetland achieves the goal of providing
intended functions and values.
• Months to be monitored : April through October
• Parameters to be monitored:
1) The water elevation will be monitored during the months monitored and referenced
to known benchmark (the manhole) on the property. •
2) The dominant vegetation will be checked for the percentage of cover and the common
names of the vegetation will be identified.
3) The wetland as-built will be compared to the design specifications in the first annual
report.
4) The wetland will also be identified by the type and size using the abbreviated Cowardin
system.
5) Color photographs will be taken at the fixed reference points identified each monitoring
period (yearly).
• If any significant changes are made to the original design (if applicable) a description of
the rationale will be given.
• Care will be taken to keep equipment free of noxious species, if any is used.
• A map will be given yearly in the report that will identify the basins by number, photo
reference points, monitoring locations and benchmark locations.
•
