MONITORING PLAN • <br /> • Value monitoring of the wetland and annual reports will be prepared every year for five <br /> years with the goal being to ensure that the wetland achieves the goal of providing <br /> intended functions and values. <br /> • Months to be monitored : April through October <br /> • Parameters to be monitored: <br /> 1) The water elevation will be monitored during the months monitored and referenced <br /> to known benchmark (the manhole) on the property. • <br /> 2) The dominant vegetation will be checked for the percentage of cover and the common <br /> names of the vegetation will be identified. <br /> 3) The wetland as-built will be compared to the design specifications in the first annual <br /> report. <br /> 4) The wetland will also be identified by the type and size using the abbreviated Cowardin <br /> system. <br /> 5) Color photographs will be taken at the fixed reference points identified each monitoring <br /> period (yearly). <br /> • If any significant changes are made to the original design (if applicable) a description of <br /> the rationale will be given. <br /> • Care will be taken to keep equipment free of noxious species, if any is used. <br /> • A map will be given yearly in the report that will identify the basins by number, photo <br /> reference points, monitoring locations and benchmark locations. <br /> • <br />
