THIS IS
IT . . . .
FOR THE WEEK OF MARCH 18 - MARCH 22, 1996
•
ADMINISTRATION
Banner Celebration:
♦ Just a reminder that this Saturday at 2:00 pm the City will unveil its first community
banner. We have advertised this event on cable, in Mounds View Matters and on the
Community Bulletin Board. In addition, invitations were sent to all commission members,
NSP and Ramsey County representatives. We should have a great showing especially if
the weather is nice. Presentation of commendation plaques will be presented during
the special business at the Council Meeting.
Redevelopment Priority Meeting:
• A tentative date to prioritize development projects and use of tax increment is April 29th
from 6:00-9:00 pm. This is the fifth Monday in April and there is no Council meeting
scheduled. I contacted Roger Williams who works for the State Office of Dispute
Resolution and is also a council member in New Brighton. He will be willing to facilitate
the meeting free of charge. Please let me know as soon as possible if this date will work
for you.
Blue House Property:
• I met with a representative of Northern Heat,_a girls volleyball association, who is
interested in property to build a 20-30,000 sq.ft. facility to house four volleyball courts
and meeting space. They are considering the Blue House and adjacent properties for this
facility. Joyce is working on building requirements. This type of facility is also being
