• As everyone knows, Jack Chambers resigned effective 4/1/96. Jack will be working for a <br /> Police Union (LELS). Jack has been a valuable member of this police force and will be <br /> missed. Best of Luck, Jack!! <br /> • The City received a check from Lake Region Hockey Association in the amount of <br /> $1,000. The money was donated to the DARE fund. The donation is much appreciated. <br /> • The Chief met with the Civil Service Commission to discuss the hiring of Jack's <br /> replacement. <br /> • The COPS Task Force met on Tuesday. Many issues were discussed. One of the issues <br /> was manpower shortages and how this could effect COPS programs. <br /> Tim R. <br /> (1.1.1.1.1.1.1 <br /> COMMUNITY <br /> DEVELOPMENT <br /> • Paul Harrington's last day is Friday, March 22, 1996. The Community Development <br /> Department wishes Paul well and the best of luck in his new job! <br /> • Jennifer Bergman attended a NAHRO Conference this week on national and state housing <br /> policy updates. <br /> • I completed Lotus training last week. <br /> • Barb Benesch has begun Word Perfect Desktop Publishing training. <br /> • I anyone is interested in seeing how a house is built on pilings, drive by the property on the <br /> corner of County Road H at Edgewood.
