Dear Commissioners: Church Upon the Rock respectfully requests a two-year extension of City of Mounds View Resolution No. 4409 granting a special use permit for a temporary accessory structure at 7901 Red Oak Drive. The accessory structure is being used by Church Upon the Rock and Northside Christian School for classrooms and is essential to both. This requested extension is necessary because our plan to relocate to the Rice Creek Center in New Brighton failed to be approved by the City of New Brighton and has forced us to sell that property and look for a new location. We are presently negotiating a purchase agreement with a buyer on the New Brighton property which includes the acquisition of land in the City of Blaine. However, this will require a new building plan and all the subsequent approvals by the City of Blaine as well as time for construction. • Therefore, we request this two-year extension of Resolution No. 4409 to give us the time we need to work through this relocation process.
