vacation schedule it looks like that could be the pattern the rest of the summer.
The valley gutter was poured at the intersection of Hillview and Edgewood Ct. yesterday,
and have of the rip rap was secured. It doesn't appear that all items on the punch list will be
completed by the deadline, although the major ones are receiving the required attention.
Jim Hess has a final plan of the Police parking lot that all parties feel comfortable with and
has submitted it to SEH for any comments or changes. This item is on the agenda for the
July 5, 1994 council work session. I think that all of the staff is ready for this project to be
complete. The reconstruction of the ballfield north of the driveway is being held up until the
final grade is established on the parking lot.
Mike
( COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT
TREE TRIMMING BUSINESS AT 8142 RED OAK DRIVE
Staff received a call from the neighbor of 8142 Red Oak drive regarding the tree trimming
operation which is taking place there. It seems the noise has become unbearable and the
resident would like something done. The Municipal Code does not allow home occupations
which, among other things, are visible from public streets (which this one is), provides for
outside storage of materials or equipment (which this one does) or, violates any provision of
the Mounds View Nuisance Ordinance (ditto). Staff has spoken with this particular property
owner in the past and somewhat addressed the issues of the neighbor, however, other
arrangements may have to be made for the operation of the business. Staff expects that both
parties involved will be speaking to the Council - so I just wanted to let you know the
situation.
OFFICE BUILDING ON HIGHWAY 10
Just an update to the information I gave you last week: A survey crew was out to the site
(south of the Wash Me Car Wash on 10) this week and Staff has received numerous calls for
zoning information, water and sewer locates, building permit fees, etc. I suspect that the
project is being given some very serious consideration by the property owner. I will keep
you posted.
Paul H.
