POLICE <br /> * Dave Anderson is having surgery (minor) this week. He will be back to work the 11th <br /> of July. <br /> * As you know, two new squads were recently put into service. The Problem--- They <br /> have not been converted to propane. We are having problems getting the electronic <br /> parts necessary for the conversion. Obviously, we are paying more for fuel than we <br /> want to. <br /> * The woman that is missing from New Brighton is a former Mounds View resident. <br /> We didn't have much information to help in their investigation. <br /> * Today is Bob Nelson's last day working in the office. He will begin working the <br /> squad tomorrow. <br /> Tim R. <br /> /t,_ <br /> PUBLIC WORKS <br /> Rocky Keene will be in attendance at the July 5, 1994 council work session to brief council <br /> on the steps required to prepare a permitting policy for surface water issues. <br /> Gary and Cheryl have been surveying the city to develop this year's patching contract. <br /> Results from last year's contract were very positive and affordable. Staff has many projects <br /> scheduled, and maintenance tasks remaining during the summer months, therefore rendering <br /> patching as the most attractive project for contract labor. <br /> The roofs at the treatment plants are near completion, with the tuckpointing still continuing. <br /> We are still holding out on the final payment to the contractor for the plant revisions. He still <br /> has a couple of very small items to correct before receiving over $ 13,000. I would think <br /> that would be quite an incentive! <br /> Radios were installed in the remaining staff cars last week and decals were applied this <br /> week.
