lakes that you won't think would have the problem ie. Lake Bemidji. It is <br /> unfortunate since the summer has been so hot and everyone is anxious to be <br /> swimming. Lakeside is such a nice beach! This is the 3-4 time that the beach is <br /> being treated this year alone. Each treatment is approximately $200 - we <br /> budget for 2 treatments each year. As you can tell, we are over budget already <br /> in the number of treatments and the summer is only 1/2 through. <br /> FORESTRY: <br /> * Rick has indicated that it is a very bad year in the City of Mounds View for <br /> Dutch Elm disease. He is unsure of the reason why it is so prevalent this <br /> summer. <br /> * Rick has continued to work on the Long Lake Road tree replacement project <br /> funded with State Aid monies. <br /> * The trees being planted as part of the Small Business Grant have been planted <br /> at Greenfield, Lambert, Silver View and City Hall. As we receive the final billing <br /> we will reconcile the City's responsibilities for the grant match and then with <br /> the remaining monies will purchase trees to plant at Oakwood Park near the <br /> bleacher areas and City Hall ballfield bleacher areas. <br /> * At this time last week their was a concern regarding the dryness of the turf, <br /> trees and bushes. However, weekend rains have provided relief. Hopefully <br /> intermittent rains will continue to provide the water needed. <br /> Mary S. <br /> FINANCE <br /> . Kitty Hickok will be on vacation next week; July 11-15. <br /> Don Brager will be taking a mini vacation; Friday July 8 & Monday July 11 . <br /> . Samantha & I met with Kelly Solheid of Corvel Corporation and learned about <br /> their managed care plan, CorCare, for workers compensation injuries. It <br /> appears to be a good plan with a large providers network. The Cities of <br /> Cottage Grove and Woodbury are presently clients. Samantha & I will talk to <br /> those Cities about their experiences with managed care and talk to another <br /> managed care provider. <br /> . Work continues on the 1995 Budget. Department Heads will be prioritizing <br />
