to drive on, no stripping of rock after the plowing season, a minor amount of
pavement strength and leveling added, and 100 % contractor responsibility for the
entire contract. Staff will be using the Mendota Heights bid.
We are having some problems with filter plant 3 with sand being force through the
filter. The sand is plugging the chlorination line . The water division staff is going to
look into some possible solutions.
Staff will be repairing the third sink hole of the season this week at the intersection
of Hillview and Greenwood. It appears that the storm sewer pipe has broken at the
bell fitting and consequently separated. No explanation as to why at this time, we
might know more after the excavation.
Staff will be meeting with SEH, NSP, and Keating and Assoc. next week to discuss
electric rates, operational procedures of the water production system and an
energy audit of all city facilities.
Mike
COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT
LONG LAKE ROAD UPDATE
Ramsey County laid the final course of bituminous this week on Long Lake Road.
All street markings have also been completed. Staff will update the Council on the
tree replacement within the next few weeks.
NUISANCE ORDINANCE
Staff has completed the first draft of the revised Mounds View Nuisance
Ordinance. A copy will be forwarded to both the Planning Commission and the
City Council for review. Hopefully a recommendation from the Planning
Commission to the City Council will be ready in two to three weeks.
Paul H.
