•
Agenda Section:
Inif• J , REQUEST FOR COUNCIL CONSIDERATION Report Number:
STAFF REPORT Report Date:
»'z g Council Action:
YS Special Order of Business
CITY COUNCIL MEETING DATE July 25, 1994 0 Public Hearings
0 Consent Agenda
0 Council Business
Item Description: Consideration of Resolution of Outstanding Performance
Administrator's Review/Recommendation:
- No comments to supplement this report
- Comments attached.
Explanation/Summary (attach supplement sheets as necessary.)
SUMMARY;
Attached please find three Resolutions for Outstanding Performance for
Bill Hanggi, Bill Hanson and Tim Pittman. These three gentleman have
gonefar beyond the call of duty in the performance of their duties and
Council recognition of their contributions is truly warranted.
As has been the practice of the City in awarding Outstanding Performance
Resolutions, this action is to be a "surprise" to the men. Mike Ulrich
has told them that their presence is required at the meeting Monday
night because of Council questions regarding the City's wells and the
garage energy audit. They do not know that they are being honored.
Also consistent with City practice is the awarding of a $50 gift
certificate to each of the men. The certificates will be purchased on
Friday, July 22nd and will be available for presentation at the meeting
Monday.
I have not placed the three Resolutions on the Agenda under Special
Order of Business in order to protect the "surprise" . However, the
agenda reflects that there are three items for consideration under
Special Order. . . .the blanks can be filled in with the Resolution numbers
as they are presented.
I have attached the following:
1. Memo from Mike Ulrich regarding Bill Hanson and Bill Hanggi.
2 . Resolutions for Hanson and Hanggi.
3 . Memo from Mike Ulrich regarding Tim Pittman.
4 . Letter from the Police Department regarding Tim Pittman
5. Resolution for Pittman.
This is a very exciting thing to be doing for some very hard working and
creative individuals. I know that each of the men will be very proud to
be recognized in this manner. Such action also sends a very clear
message to all employees that they are valued and appreciated. It is
great for orale and productivity!
' . if LL14-144-4K_
Sa •.ntha e duno, City Admin trator
