While 1995 will mark the beginning of many new programs, current support staff levels <br />may be sufficient to handle the workload. By 1995, many new programs, Commission <br />activities and Council/community initiates will be in progress and will acquire additional <br />qualified support staff. <br />An Administrative Aide has been proposed for 1996. It is invisioned that this position <br />would be a college graduate with experience in local government. to The purpose of this <br />position will be to provide advanced staff support to all Administrative Services' <br />programs and Economic Development. Clerical needs are at a minimum as the <br />Administrative Service staff all provide much of their own clerical duties. The need for <br />an additional position relates directly to the level of advanced support assistance: <br />research, data collection and analysis, computer skills beyond basic clerical skills and <br />communication skills exceeding basic clerical skills. (6/29/94, Revision 1) <br />1997 - 1999 <br />Future staff positions are not anticipated in this Administrative Services program. <br />4. HUMAN RESOURCES <br />Program Function <br />This Program is responsible for personnel services <br />including training for City staff, advertisements for employment opportunities, complying <br />with the Affirmative Action Plan and providing a safe work environment by developing a <br />safety plan and implementing it to minimise losses. Staffing for this Program include a <br />percentage of costs for the Administration Clerk and Assistant to the City Administrator. <br />GOALS <br />1993 <br />* Complete ion- update -of update of all job descriptions. <br />* Complete ion of update of Administrative Policy Manual. <br />* Working with staff in positive ways to determine cost saving measures <br />for City activities: <br />.
