However, staff did learn there
is a professional agency that provides this service to many cities in the
north metro area.
At the 10/3/94 Council Worksession, staff was directed to pursue the option
of contracting this service out to this agency. The rates for the service
are $21. 00 per hour for meetings and $9. 00 per page for draft minutes. If
the average Council meeting were to last 2 hour's and the average length of
meeting minutes 10 pages, this service would cost $132 per meeting.
For the rest of the year, the service would be approximately $700. There
is $19, 900 left in the Contingency Fund. $700 could be transferred from
the Contingency Fund to pay for this service.
Tim Cruikshank, Asst. to City Admin. 1
I
RECOMMENDATION;
Waive reading and adopt Resolution No. 4647, transferring $700 from
contingency account #100-4500-910-00 to City Council Professional Services
Account No. 100-4100-303 for recording secretary services.
