THIS IS
IT . 1 . .
For the Week of October 3 - October 7, 1994
ADMINISTRATION
ADMINISTRATION
Interesting item. On Tuesday, October 4, we learned that Ramsey County is
increasing our dispatching contract by $4,000. This is very much a last minute
increase. The reason for this increase was never communicated to us prior to the
notice given to us on Tuesday. I have spoken with Commissioner Wedell and did not
sense that there would be any support from him on this last minute financial burden
to the City.
I have contacted New Brighton and Roseville, who also received substantial last
minute increases. I don't know, at this point, if there is a great deal that we can do,
but I intend to pursue all options including scheduling a meeting of Ramsey County
Sheriff's Department personnel, County Board members of the affected cities and the
managers of both Roseville and New Brighton. I will keep you posted.
1995 Proposed Budget Newsletter
I have spent a great deal of time this week working on the Special Edition of the
Newsletter which will focus on the proposed 1995 Budget. The Newsletter will be
delivered next weekend, well in advance of the informational meeting on the 24th.
Senior Center
The date has been set for November 15 at 6:00 p.m. for the joint meeting of the cities
