r COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT
SHERWOOD ESTATES
I received three calls from residents who were in attendance at the Work Session Monday for
the Sherwood Estates issue. They called to say that they were very pleased with Staff, the
Developer, Rocky Keehn and the City Council in handling the development proposal.
Specifically, they were pleased that answers to their questions were given in an honest and
forthright manner, that the City and the Developer seemed very well prepared for the meeting
and, that the Council listened to all of their concerns. From a Staff perspective, I have to
agree that the meeting went very well.
SILVER LAKE POINTE SENIOR HOUSING
As part of the building plan review for the Silver Lake Pointe Senior Housing project, Staff
has been in contact with the Developer to discuss the placement (in elevation) of the structure
on the site. The Municipal Code requires that all structures in the City be constructed at
certain minimum elevations. The Engineer for the Developer has sent a letter to Rocky
Keehn of SEH outlining their rational for placing the structure at the elevation proposed.
Staff received a copy of that letter at about 3:40 this afternoon (Thursday). A response from
Rocky is anticipated Monday Evening
Paul
