On Friday, October 28 and Monday, October <br /> 31, seven of the top qualified candidates were interviewed by Mike Ulrich, Public Works <br /> Supervisor, Tim Pittman, City Mechanic and me. On Friday, <br /> ovember 4 and Wednesday, <br /> November 9, City Administrator Samantha Orduno interviewed lthe top two candidates. City <br /> Administrator Orduno and the interview panel jointly recommend Mark Andrescik be hired to fill <br /> this Public Works position. <br /> Mr. Andrescik has demonstrated that he has met all of the requirements of the position and his <br /> work history indicates he can perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. His related <br /> work experience is with the Cities of Oakdale and Richfield. He has been a Public Works <br /> Maintenance Worker for these cities for the past 3 years. <br /> It is proposed that Mr. Andrescik start at 90% of Level C which is $13.00/hr. Upon a <br /> satisfactory performance review after 6 months, he would then advance to 95% of Level C, <br /> $13.65/hr. After 1 year with the City and upon satisfactory performance review, he would <br /> advance to Level C, $14.44/hr. <br /> It is recommended this hire be contingent upon successful completion of a physical examination <br /> and drug test. Reference checks have been completed and are satisfactory. <br /> Adb4.411, <br /> Tim Cruikshank, Asst. To City Admin. <br /> RECOMMENDATION; <br /> Motion to waive the reading and adopt resolution No. 4660 approving the hire of Mark Andrescik, Public Works <br /> Maintenance Worker, to be funded 1/3 each out of the Sewer, Water and Surface Water Utility Divisions, account <br /> numbers 730-4121-010, 700-4121-010 and 420-4121-010, respectively. <br />
