One of the
proposed locations is directly across from the property line between 7767
and 7761 Eastwood Road, and the other location is directly across from the
property line between 7755 and 7745 Eastwood Road.
All of the property owners in the affected area have signed the petition,
except 2625 Highway 10. This address is a directly affected property and
according to the City's streetlight installation policy, 100% of directly
affected property owners are to agree with the proposed installation
location of the light.
Because this request does not meet the spacing requirements of the
streetlight installation policy and a directly affected property owner had
not signed the petition, it was forwarded to the Council for special
consideration.
Several of the neighbors from the area in favor of the streetlight were
present at the 11/7 Council worksession. Council agreed with the
neighborhood's special request to make an exception to the streetlight
installation policy based on need and authorized staff to proceed with the
installation of the light at the location directly across from the property
line between 7767 and 7761 Eastwood Road.
This information is presented tonight for Council's official approval.
/ ,f
/ 441-bAk
Tim Cruikshank, Asst. to the City Admin.
RECOMMENDATION•
