C9TY®F REQUEST FOR COUNCIL CONSIDERATION Agenda Section: 13. <br /> 110iNDSSTAFF REPORT Report Number: 94-1394WS <br /> AGENDA SESSION DATE DECEMBER 5, 1994 Report Date: 12-1-94 <br /> DISPOSITION <br /> Item Description: ADMINISTRATION — THIRD QUARTER REPORT <br /> Administrator's Review/Recommendation: <br /> - No comments to supplement this report <br /> - Comments attached. <br /> Explanation/Summary (attach supplement sheets as necessary.) <br /> ,SUMMARY; <br /> Attached please find the third quarter Department Reports. These reports <br /> represent a summary of activities for the months of July through September. <br /> The Annual Report, summarizing the activities of 1994 will be presented at <br /> the January Work Session. This will be a comprehensive summary that will <br /> address not only the activities during the year, but also the <br /> accomplishments in relation to the FOCUS 2000 Implementation Plan and the <br /> Department Work Plans. Discussion of the Report as a "year end review" at <br /> the Work Session will enable the Council and staff to begin the 1995 <br /> Strategic Planning Session with the process of updating the Implementation <br /> Plan, establishing 1995 goals and 1996 Budget priorities. <br /> ADMINISTRATION <br /> July <br /> * Draft No. 1 was presented to the Council <br /> * Agreements were executed for the Multi-Tech expansion and the <br /> Hill project. <br /> * Construction began on the Multi-Tech expansion <br /> * Springsted completed the analysis on the profit margins for the <br /> Senior Housing project, completing the second to the last step <br /> in the process. <br /> * Order for Abatement of the fourplex on Edgewood was served on the <br /> owner and the process began to clean up the building. <br /> * Don and I met with representatives from a Worker's Comp. managed <br /> care program and discussed the possible benefits to the City of <br /> such a program. <br /> * Supreme Court provided an opinion ruling on the Agunbiade case. <br /> * The Mayor, Cathy and myself met with representatives of Everest <br /> to discuss a potential occupant for "Building N" . <br /> * Enterprise budgets were completed and presented to Council <br /> * MAC called a meeting of the Airport Advisory Committee to <br /> discuss the proposed air traffic control tower and the update <br /> to the Airport Master Plan. <br /> * FOCUS 2000 Implementation Plan was delivered to residents <br /> * LMC Strategic Planning Session held in Bemidji. The rumblings <br /> begin in regards to threats to LGA in the 1995 Session. <br /> * Woodlawn Apartment Cooperative Coalition Committee met to <br /> d4 ----- ^olutions to the c,n-going problems at the site. <br />
