RECREATION:
* OVER 70 PEOPLE HAVE CALLED TO RSVP FOR THE COMMUNITY CAROLING
THIS SATURDAY FROM 7-9PM. WE WILL MEET AT CITY HALL, HAVE 1
PRACTICE SONG AND THEN HEAD OUT TO THE NEIGHBORHOODS OF
MOUNDS VIEW. COME AND JOIN US! CIDER AND COOKIES AFTERWARDS.
* The Holiday Party was held here at Santa's Mounds View home, City Hall last Saturday.
Many little Mounds Viewites enjoyed the midday with Santa and his elves.
* We are preparing registration codes for Winter registration beginning as soon as the City
Newsletters are mailed
* We will be offering trips and activities during the week that children are out of school
December 27-30. If you have children that would be interested, register them now.
* Staff is busy completing yearend reports, facility maps, 1995 goals and objectives and
performance reviews.
GOLF COURSE:
* This Thursday, December 15 Kurt will be going in for neck neurosurgery. He will be
recuperating for approximately 2 weeks over the holidays and will be back to work
January 3. We wish him well and success fixing his bothersome neck problem.
Mary S.
FINANCE
Dorothy is finding out how many different ways people can do the same project as she
prepares the budget book for publication. "Wonderment" does not exactly describe how she
feels. In fact, she was speechless when I asked her what word she would use. I guess we
will stick with the word "wonderment".
Dorothy's cubicle has been filling up with bags of toys throughout the week. She started
collecting toys from the City staff to contribute to the Lion's toy drive for the area's needy
children. The word to describe this project is "wonderful".
Mary is processing account payable checks for the second week in a row which seems very
different. Mary is also the editor of the Finance Department's portion of "THIS IS IT"
which also feels different. I guess the word for Mary this week is "different"
