The Chamber represents over 600 businesses in the North Metro Area and is one of the strongest Chamber organizations in the suburban metro area. One of the key issues for the membership and board of the Chamber is the attraction of a quality hotel/conference center. The chamber has established a Hotel Task Force to focus on this issue and they are interested in supporting a hotel/conference center in Mounds View. Anoka County Chamber is willing to assist in funding a feasibility study as well as market the idea to membership. Membership in Anoka County Chamber opens the door for a more regional approach to economic development. In addition, by becoming members in the Anoka Chamber, Mounds View's local schools are eligible for scholarship funds, participation in monthly meetings and the mentor program with businesses. The annual dues for membership is $195 and can be covered by the existing economic development budget.
