Explanation/Summary (attach supplement s necessary.) SUMMARY; City Forester Rick Wriskey has attached a memo regarding a plan for planting trees in the area where homerun balls land at Silver View Park athletic fields, intruding the properties of Silver Lake Woods Manor Homes . This plan proposes large trees including evergreens and shade trees to be planted, approximately 2-4 per year as the budget allows . The money would come from the Reforestation Program, Operating Supplies, item - large trees . This budget item provides for $2 , 000 each year for the purchase and planting services of large trees in the City. It is assumed that in approximately 3-4 years the area in question would be packed with trees and as time allows the trees to grow, it is expected that the area will become a wall of large trees . It is hoped that it will be very difficult for balls to get past this wall of trees, although I am sure that it will not be impossible. This program can be incorporated into the next 3-4 annual budgets beginning with 1996 . A budget increase is not required, however, the present large tree planting plan will be altered to include this large tree planting project .
