* A time clock has also been ordered and will be installed early next week for both <br /> Clubhouse staff and Golf Course Maintenance staff. The time clock system should <br /> simplify the computation of time sheets for the golf course staff. <br /> * The protective netting has been installed along the second hole. It hopefully will <br /> take care of the problems with stray balls into the trucking company parking lot. <br /> * Bridgco has done some work on the boardwalk. Unfortunately Bridgco workers <br /> had a terrible attack from hornets as they came into contact with a hornets nest. <br /> They will only return after the hornets nest has been removed. <br /> CABLE TV <br /> * Cindy has been working on enhancements to the Community Bulletin Board which <br /> lists information on the Cable TV channel in-between programs. She really does a <br /> nice job. <br /> * Cindy completed the August "A View From the Mound" including an interview with <br /> Richard Meyers as the special interest guest, introduction to new employee, Dawn, <br /> and legislative update with Representative Dick Pellow. <br /> Mary S. <br /> POLICE <br /> * The Department will start distributing Viking Football cards this Friday. We've <br /> been in this program for a number of years. Each week, a new player's card is <br /> issued. It gives the officers an opportunity to meet and talk to kids in a non-police <br /> setting. <br /> * Tom Baumgart attended D.A.R.E. training last week. He is now certified to teach <br /> D.A.R.E. in the middle school. We will start the program later this year. The <br /> details have not been worked out, but there will probably be a two week session <br /> this Fall and then a full schedule after the first of the year. <br /> * A new squad was delivered this week. This is the only new car we will get this <br /> year. It will be at least a couple of weeks before it is converted and street ready. <br /> * The COPS Task Force met this week. Topics discussed were: Halloween Party, <br /> Senior programs and Crime Free Housing. <br />
