This is excellent support from NSP. Once we make a decision on the <br /> Banners, I will do a press release and reference NSP as a supporter of the <br /> program. The Marketing Task Force will be having a joint meeting with the EDC <br /> this month to discuss the Banner proposals, T-shirt sales strategies and "Buy <br /> Mounds View First" campaign. The task force will be presenting the Banner <br /> proposal at the September work session. <br /> National Development Council - 3rd Session: <br /> • I will be attending the 3rd session of the National Development Council's <br /> Economic Development Professional Certification Course the week of 8/14-8/18. <br /> This session will focus on Real Estate Financing. I hope to come back with <br /> enough knowledge to be able to run financial pro forma's for development <br /> projects. This could save the City money in Financial Consultant Fees. The week <br /> long class is in Minneapolis and consists of lengthy homework each night with a <br /> final on Friday. I will touch base with the office each day. <br /> Cathy <br /> TUG MEETING <br /> Thursday, August 10th I attended a TUG meeting at Shoreview Community Center. <br /> The guest speaker was Shirley Martin, Dakota County Benefits Representative. <br /> Discussion focused on Dakota County's Flex/Comp Plan. <br /> PERSONNEL <br /> Steve Andert, our custodian, gave his two week resignation notice. An advertisement <br /> will be placed in Sunday, August 21, edition of the Star Tribune and the FOCUS <br /> newspapers. <br /> RECYCLING <br /> Fall Clean Up Day has been set for October 21, 1995. As in the past, the City has <br /> contracted with Twin City Refuse, working in conjunction with Keith Krupenny & Son <br /> Disposal, to conduct the Fall Clean-Up Day. <br /> RAMSEY COUNTY BUSINESS WASTE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM <br /> Representatives from Ramsey County will be visiting each business in Mounds View <br /> during the week of October 21, to explain what a great benefit reducing, reusing, and <br /> recycling can be, not just for the environment, but the company's bottom line as well. <br /> Lynnette <br />
