IV. DISSEMINATION OF AFFIRMATIVE ACTION POLICY AND PLAN <br /> A. Internal Dissemination <br /> 1. A copy of the Affirmative Action Program for <br /> the City of Mounds View will be communicated <br /> to every department head in the City. <br /> 2 . The City Administrator will instruct, inform <br /> and advise all department heads of the <br /> responsibilities of employees in promoting and <br /> effectuating the policy of non-discrimination. <br /> 3 . A copy of the Affirmative Action Policy shall <br /> be communicated to all employees and become <br /> part of the Employee Handbook. <br /> 4 . A copy of the Affirmative Action Policy and <br /> other related information shall be posted on <br /> departmental bulletin boards for employee <br /> reference and distributed to all applicants <br /> for employment. <br /> 5 . The Affirmative Action Policy statement shall <br /> be included in the City's Personnel Policy. <br /> 6 . Union representatives will be informed of the <br /> Affirmative Action Policy. <br /> 7 . Labor agreements between any union, <br /> federation, an authorized employee <br /> representative in the City may contain a <br /> clause attesting to non-discrimination and <br /> equal opportunity as part of the basic for any <br /> negotiated settlement. <br /> B. External Dissemination <br /> 1. The City Administrator will file copies of the <br /> Affirmative Action Plan with the State <br /> Department of Human Rights . <br /> 2 . The City Administrator will file copies of the <br /> City's Affirmative Action Policy with the <br /> State Employment Service and such minority <br /> handicapped and women's organizations which <br /> benefit from open recruitment. <br /> 3 . The City Finance Director shall distribute a <br /> statement of the City's commitment to EEO/AA <br /> to all vendors and shall encourage them to <br /> follow similar practices . <br /> 5 <br />
