* Surplus sand was delivered to the sand volleyball courts at City Hall. <br /> * Messages were changed on the City Hall sign. <br /> RECREATION: <br /> * Holiday and special event registrations are taking place. <br /> * The elementary school students are off school Friday, a trip rollerskating is <br /> scheduled. <br /> * An adult trip to the Old Log Theater, in partnership with neighboring cities was <br /> sch�uled-Wednesday. - <br /> FORESTRY: <br /> The forestry crew is preparing trees for winter, taping and pruning as necessary. <br /> GOLF COURSE: <br /> The course is officially closed as of this past weekend. The snow and cold was the clincher. <br /> Sprinkling system have been blown out, signs and benches, markers, etc. have been brought <br /> in and stored for the winter. Equipment is being cleaned and prepped for winterization. <br /> CABLE TV: <br /> The Cable TV Committee met Wednesday morning to discuss programming for <br /> November/December. It was decided that the November VFM would continue through <br /> December with the addition of a list of the homes decorated in holiday lights, so that families <br /> can have a reference for enjoying holiday lights tours in Mounds View. Sue Henry will be <br /> covering the Budget Hearing and also the City Council meetings. She will make footage of <br /> this year's holiday lights and run them on Cable TV. The next meeting is the quarterly <br /> evening meeting which will be held Thursday, December 14 at 6:30 p.m. Jerry Skelly Sr. <br /> and Peg Meyer met to discuss strategies for providing information regarding seniors. Jerry <br /> S. has contacted scheduled a meeting with the school district regarding the Learn to Read <br /> program. <br />
