All of us have spent the majority of the week assisting with the audit. The auditors took up
residency here at City Hall most of the week. Although they are good people, easy to work
with, and very helpful; their presence does make for a "long" week. It seems to be the
nature of an audit.
Mary T.
PUBLIC WORKS
* The ANNUAL PUBLIC WORKS DINNER was held November 8. Good food, good
company and a "final dinner" for Samantha.
* The new skidloader was finally delivered last week. "Surface" training was provided
for the operators; a more in depth training session is scheduled for November 9.
* The Water Meter Changeout program has experienced a set back. The new telephone
line that was installed for the modem is not working properly. The technician from
US West found that the relay switch for this metro area is very quick. The-modem
dials the telephone number of the resident, it gets so far in the dialing process and the
telephone line (relay switch) tries to connect; therefore an incomplete call is the
result. WaterPro, Sensus and US West are working together to figure out a solution.
Hopefully by Thursday, November 9, everything should be up and running.
* We had our first callout for salting Friday, November 3. (Ladies and Gentlemen,
summer has left the building!)
Tracy
