The enclosure serves as somewhat of a "field <br /> office" for technicians tracking service related problems in the area. The <br /> Municipal Code requires that any structure necessary for the provision of <br /> public utility service within the City obtain a Conditional Use Permit <br /> prior to its construction. <br /> The enclosure is approximately 6'x 9' with an overall height of about 6' . <br /> The height of the structure is somewhat deceiving in that an additional 3' <br /> is located below ground. US West has indicated that access to the <br /> enclosure will be necessary every two to three months and that average <br /> length of on-site personnel is two (2) hours. Location of the structure <br /> will be in the extreme southwest corner of 2280 Highway 10. Access to the <br /> structure will be from Woodale Drive. The applicant has received a 20'x <br /> 20' easement from the property owner for the location of the structure. <br /> This request is similar to the one approved by the Council in June of this <br /> year for a structure on the Multi-Tech property. <br /> Staff has reviewed the request and found it to be in with the <br /> requirements of the Code. The Mounds View Planning Commission has reviewed <br /> the request and recommended approval. <br /> Paul Harrington, Interim City Administrator <br /> RECOMMENDATION; <br /> Adopt Resolution No. 4849 approving a Conditional Use Permit for US West <br /> Communications. <br />
