RESOLUTION NO. 4711 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR RAMSEY COUNTY COMMUNITY <br /> DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT\HOME FUNDS FOR THE REHABILITATION OF WOODLAWN <br /> TERRACE <br /> WHEREAS, in consultation with Ramsey County and Minnesota Housing Finance Authority, the City <br /> is submitting an application for rehabilitation of Woodlawn Terrace located on Woodlawn Drive in the City of <br /> Mounds View; and <br /> WHEREAS, due to current financial and legal conditions of the property, rehabilitation of Woodlawn <br /> Terrace by a particular private or non-profit party is not identifiable at this time; and <br /> WHEREAS, Woodlawn Terrace apartments houses over 100 low to moderate income families in <br /> Mounds View; and <br /> WHEREAS, Woodlawn Terrace is targeted by the City of Mounds View as part of the rehabilitation <br /> project area and is in critical need of general maintenance and repair to assist in ensuring a decent, safe and <br /> energy efficient living environment; and <br /> WHEREAS, the rehabilitation of multi-family housing is consistent with the City's 5 Year Goals and <br /> FOCUS 2000 recommendations, and <br /> WHEREAS, rehabilitation of existing multi-family units benefits the entire community. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council in and for the City of Mounds <br /> View does hereby authorize the City Administrator to make application to Ramsey County for Community <br /> Development Block Grant\Home Funds for the rehabilitation of Woodlawn Terrace; and <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Mounds View will abide by the <br /> conditions placed by Ramsey County on use of the funds for the rehabilitation of Woodlawn Terrace, and <br /> BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Mounds View, directs staff to <br /> work with Ramsey County and Minnesota Housing Finance Authority to ensure that appropriate measures will <br /> be taken to assist in the rehabilitation of Woodlawn Terrace. <br /> Adopted this 23rd day of January, 1995. <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Mayor <br /> (SEAL) <br /> City Administrator <br />
