Traffic being what it <br /> is at that time and the uncertainty that the plane will arrive on <br /> time may result in her arriving a bit after 7: 00 p.m. <br /> Anoka County-Blaine Airport <br /> I spoke today (Thursday) with a representative from Met. Council <br /> regarding the proposed expansion activities for the Airport. It <br /> appears that the Met Council is conducting of survey of <br /> communities near all the system airports to determine how cities <br /> are handling perceived or actual incompatible land uses as it <br /> relates, most notably, to noise and land use planning. While the <br /> Met Council is not responsible for MAC operations, beyond <br /> approval authority for the Capital Improvement Plan and Master <br /> Plan (as it fits within the overall regional approach) , the <br /> conversation this morning was helpful to let Met Council know of <br /> Mounds View's concerns regarding the proposed tower and dual <br /> runways. I also conveyed to Mr. Otto that residents have <br /> requested information from MAC regarding the formula used in <br /> calculating the number of annual operations and have yet to <br /> receive the information. He has agreed to speak to Gary Schmidt <br /> at MAC. <br /> Mermaid Expansion <br /> Charlie Hall met with representatives from the Rice Creek <br /> Watershed last week to informally discuss the hydrological issues <br /> relating to his proposed hotel/conference center expansion. The <br /> message that RCW gave Charlie was that they "would work with <br />
