He wanted to thank us for the call and said <br /> to keep up the good work that not many other Cities would put forth such an <br /> effort. <br /> Cathy <br /> (PARKS, RECREATION AND FORESTRY <br /> PARKS <br /> The skating rinks have been let go - no additional maintenance is being performed. <br /> They will fade away with the Spring breezes. The Parks Maintenance crew will be <br /> cleaning the buildings in preparation for community use. <br /> In addition, the Parks crew is completing as-builts of park utility services and <br /> sprinkling services. This project began long ago but due to lack of time it has <br /> never been completed. We hope to complete these as-builts in the next two <br /> weeks. This information is valuable in future repair needs, cutting time spent in <br /> locations and other necessary information. <br /> RECREATION: <br /> Trips have been provided every day this week for students who are on winter <br /> break. Mary has been chaperoning two ski trips, rollerskating outing, pool and play <br /> activities, and bowling. There has been great response to the trips. <br /> The March/April City Newsletter was handed over to the printer last Thursday. <br /> This is always a time of celebration - especially for Sharie who puts so much time <br /> and energy into the preparation of the City Newsletter. This one is 48 pages! Lots <br /> of information for the community. Sharie chaperoned a trip to southern Minnesota <br /> this week, taking a full bus. <br /> Stephanie, our student worker has been working full days this week during her <br /> winter break time. She has been a busy person! <br /> She is learning office skills including telephone work, registrations, use of the <br /> computer, preparing mailings, faxing information and other duties. She continues <br /> to learn new skills and seems to enjoy her work experience. We are happy to have <br /> her as a part of our team. <br /> I have prepared a first draft of the Pedestrian Bridge memorandum which is <br /> required through the Federal program. The only part missing is the engineering <br />
