COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT
DYNEX FACILITY EXPANSION
The Mounds View Planning Commission met Wednesday evening to discuss the
development proposal submitted by Dynex for an expansion of their facility on
Mustang Drive. Following discussion, Staff informed the Commission that two issues
will need to be addressed prior to the request being formally acted upon. One
involved the surface water management plan being reviewed and approved by the
City Engineer. The second was a Fire Department concern about the availability of
hydrants on the property. Staff will be sitting down with representatives from the Fire
Department and Dynex next week in order to work a plan out for the provision of fire
protection on the property. It is anticipated that this project will be reviewed at the
Council level at the April Work Session.
AUTOMOBILE DEALERSHIP REGULATIONS
The Planning Commission completed their draft of the proposed Automobile
Dealership regulations this past week and, following formal action at their April
meeting, the draft will be forwarded to the Council for consideration.
ADULT USES ORDINANCE
The Adult Uses Ordinance will be presented in final draft form at the April Work
Session. Staff is hopeful that formal action on the Ordinance can be completed in
April.
Paul H.
