Licenses for Approval <br /> 5 <br /> 6 Restaurants - Expires June 30, 1995 <br /> 7 Perkins Family Restaurant - Renewal <br /> 8 Mounds View Best Steak House - Renewal <br /> 9 <br /> 10 Mayor Linke asked if there were any items the Council desired <br /> 11 removed from the Consent Agenda; there were none. <br /> 12 <br /> 13 MOTION/SECOND: Hankner/Trude to Adopt the Consent Agenda as <br /> 14 Presented <br /> 15 <br /> 16 VOTE: 4 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> 17 <br /> 18 RESIDENTS REQUESTS AND COMMENTS FROM THE FLOOR: <br /> 19 <br /> 20 Mayor Linke explained that this portion of the meeting was <br /> 21 designated for anyone who wished to speak to the Council on items <br /> 22 that were not on the Agenda. <br /> 23 <br /> 24 Duane McCarty, 8060 Long Lake Road, informed Council that the <br /> 25 purpose of his attendance was to respond to a recent article which <br /> 26 appeared in one of the local newspapers regarding the petitioning <br /> 27 process that residents are allowed under the City Charter. He <br /> 28 handed out copies of the Charter provisions and briefly reviewed <br /> 29 Chapter 8 of the City Charter which states all of the public <br /> 30 improvement processes that the City must follow in performing <br /> 31 public improvements and levying assessments. Mr. McCarty pointed <br /> 32 out the steps to be followed for the petitioning process. <br /> 33 <br /> 34 Charles Ross ??, 5142 Eastwood Road, related that he has a neighbor <br /> 35 who sprays birch trees within approximately three feet of the <br /> 36 property line. Nearly forty percent of one of the trees hangs over <br /> 37 the property line. Mr. Ross expressed concern regarding liability <br /> 38 in the event someone on his property could be affected by the spray <br /> 39 from his neighbor. He would like to see an Ordinance requiring <br /> 40 permission to be granted by surrounding neighbors for anyone to <br /> 41 spray hazardous chemicals. <br /> 42 <br /> 43 Mayor Linke directed staff to check into the matter and furnish a <br /> 44 response to Mr. Ross. <br /> 45 <br /> 46 PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br /> 47 <br /> 48 To Consider Non-Intoxicating Malt Liquor License for "The Bridges" <br /> 49 <br /> 50 Mayor Linke opened the public hearing at 7: 15 p.m. <br />
